Roy M. Bot, P. Eng., leads the organization with many years of hands-on experience and deep knowledge of the heavy civil construction industry and practices. As the senior executive officer of the company, he has overall responsibility for the business development and operations of the Bot Construction Group.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McMaster University and received his Professional Engineer designation in 1983. He is a founding member of the Advisory Committee to the Chair in Heavy Civil Engineering, McMaster University.

Steve R. Bot, P. Eng., has extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of the delivery of heavy civil construction services, from contracting and tendering to project management and construction operations for infrastructure works. As VP & General Manager, he directs the contracting and delivery of construction services across the Bot organization.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Carleton University and received his Professional Engineer designation in 1987.

Ian Marshall provides practical, business-oriented legal support for the company's business and operations. He has diverse experience in both private and public sector organizations at the senior management level, including transactional and operational roles in the delivery of infrastructure through public-private partnerships.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Systems from the University of Toronto and a LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. He is an active participant on various committees of the Ontario Road Builders' Association (ORBA) and a member of the ORBA/Metrolinx Joint Transit Contractors Council.

Nancy Mercanti brings many years of experience to her role in overseeing the human resources and administrative and archives functions of the company. She leads the company's corporate giving and community support activities and is president of the Silvio Bot Charitable Foundation.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Laurentian University and is an active supporter of local business and charitable organizations.

Scott Riddell is responsible for the financial management activities of the company. His combined practice experience includes work in the construction sector and in public accounting where he also provided business advisory services to owner managed enterprises.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University. He received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1988 while with Ernst and Young LLP and is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants.

John Ross is responsible for the accounting and reporting functions and objectives of the company. Joining Bot Construction in 2005, he has many years of relevant experience in the construction, property management and hospitality sectors.

He holds a Bachelor of Administration in Accounting from Lakehead University and is a certified member (CMA) of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. He is a member of the Southern Ontario Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), a non profit organization for construction financial professionals.

Marlene Yakabuski provides general management support to a range of company administrative and communications functions. Her broad senior management experience in regulatory affairs and operations management includes having previously served in the role of chief compliance officer in the financial services sector and work at the Ontario Legislature and the House of Commons.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University and a Master in Business Administration from Royal Roads University. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (OSSGA) and of the Ontario Road Builders' Association (ORBA), and is Chair of the ORBA Environment Committee.

Mike Beatty oversees the ongoing development and execution of the company's Quality Control and Environmental Management program. He has extensive practice experience in QC/QA system development and technical standards program delivery to transportation infrastructure projects, and provides broad project management support across the Bot Construction organization.

He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Cambrian College. His prior experience includes work for public sector infrastructure owners.

Jorge Cadete oversees the company's construction project operations in southern Ontario and the GTA Region. He has extensive practice experience in a wide range of heavy civil construction works, and in managing major highway expansion and bridge construction projects on Ontario's 400 series highways.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Physics) from the University of Ottawa and the Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal Project Manager Certification.

Dan Campanelli manages the company's heavy equipment fleet, parts and materials supply and is responsible for the critical delivery of needed equipment and materials support to the company's construction operations. He is a licensed mechanic with progressive experience in equipment and supply management.

Gus Chiarello directs the company's construction operations in northern Ontario. One of the most experience senior operations managers in the road building sector, he has deep expertise in projects involving large earth and rock excavation, major highway expansions and bridgeworks and in municipal water and sewer infrastructure installations.

He holds the Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal Project Manager Certification. He lends his knowledge and experience to mentoring the company's project teams and coordinating construction operations in the northern Ontario region.

Bob Lane oversees the company's Health and Safety Program, with over 30 years of experience in risk management and occupational health and safety program delivery.

He holds a Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management from Mohawk College. He is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada, and holds certifications from the Canadian Risk Management Program, the Certified Management Accounting Program and various certifications issued under the Workplace Safety & Insurance Act.

Paul Pereira oversees the delivery of technical services and provides contract administration direction and support to the Bot Construction project teams. He has broad practice experience in the civil construction industry, including work with engineering consulting firms and with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.

He holds a diploma in Construction Engineering Technology from Mohawk College. His experience includes numerous major highway expansion and bridgework projects under both bid build and design build contract models.

Chris Robinson manages the company's estimating team and is responsible for the development and maintenance of critical path schedules to support project needs across the organization. He studied Civil Engineering Technology at Loyalist College and brings extensive, practical knowledge of job-site operations to his role as manager of the company's estimating, project planning, staging and scheduling functions.

Barry Thompson is responsible for the sales and business development of the aggregate operations of the company. He has broad management experience in the construction materials & aggregate production, sales and supply sector.

He holds a Master of Arts in Adult Education/Community College from Central Michigan University, a Certificate in Adult Education from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Ryerson University. As a member of the Education Committee of the Ontario Road Builders' Association and the Training & Development Committee of the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association, he is actively involved in developing curriculum and training.
