The primary role of the Accounting Associate(JrAnalyst) is to support both the accounting and finance departments of the business, as directed by Management. An analyst requires cross function training in Accounting functions and be given opportunities to perform year-end financial assignments. For a junior analyst, on-the job training with short-term and long-term financial forecasting, and key initiatives will apply.
Prepare weekly and monthly internal Management reports including financial statements;
Daily bank reconciling for two divisions
Prepare and analyze job cost reports;
Analyze cost details and operational metrics; and
Track equipment hours by equipment unit as related to payroll through data capture from time & attendance software
Fuel consumption tracking on equipment as related to equipment usage
Preventative maintenance tracking on equipment
Other tasks, as required by the Manager
Accounting Analyst should have:
Strong Excel proficiency
Attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Proactive with task management and problem solving
Proficiency with accounting software
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Leadership and teamwork skills
Reliability and honesty
1-3 years of experience working with a full-cycle accounting system
Completion of, or enrollment in a recognized professional accounting program (CPA)
