ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a full-time licensed mechanic to support daily operations and ensure the reliability of our extensive vehicle fleet. This role, based in a non-union facility, involves performing diagnostics, repairs, and routine preventative maintenance on company-owned highway trucks.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Existing, permanent, full-time, $30 – $35/hr

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and evaluate defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using pressure gauges, scanners, and factory manuals
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on braking systems, electrical components, steering, suspension, and related systems
  • Accurately diagnose root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective corrective actions
  • Complete repair documentation and maintenance records in accordance with company standards
  • Assist with additional mechanical tasks and shop operations as required

Requirements

  • Valid Class T Truck & Coach Technician Certification required
  • Proven heavy equipment experience required
  • Three (3) to four (4) years of relevant heavy equipment experience preferred
  • Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, and perform other physical tasks as required
  • Capable of safely lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to perform sustained, physically demanding work in a variety of environments, temperatures, and weather conditions, with regular exposure to grease, oils, and lubricants
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
