Four-lane expansion of Highway 69, over 11.2 km, northerly from 3.1 km north of Hwy 64, south of the city of Sudbury, major interchange and structures over water.

Key Elements:

  • Grading works for 11.2 km new highway
  • New interchange at Crooked Lake Road; poured concrete piers and abutments, 8 precast concrete girders (37-38 m length), precast deck panels, Hpile footings (106m)
  • Two structures over Murdock River; (4 span/ 14m h) cast in place piers, 24 girders (45 and 30 m) H-piles to 12.6 - 18m
  • Precast concrete girders (8 - 37-38m length), precast deck pannels, H-pile footings to 12.6 - 18 m
  • Large scale rock excavation (968,000 m3) and embankment (1,000,000 m3); earth/muskeg excavation
