Four-lane expansion of Highway 11, over 8.2 km, northerly from 0-7 km south of the Stong/Machar Twp Boundary Road to 4.9 km north of the Town of South River, including 7 new structures and 2 new interchanges at Boundary Road and north entrance to South River.

Key Elements:

  • Grading, drainage, electrical for 8.2 km new highway
  • Earth and muskeg excavation (1,500,000 m3), rock excavation (1,00,000 m3) and aggregate placement(600,000 t)
  • Boundry/Tower Rd. interchange; 2 span, 88.4 concrete girder underpass structure
  • Ottawa Ave. overpass; 2, single span, 28.5 m concrete girder structures (NBL and SBL)
  • 2 span, 81.3m concrete girder structure at Eagle Lake Road
  • 2, 2 span, 99.2m ?? structures over South River ( NBL and SBL)
  • 2 span, 87.4m concrete girder structure service road underpass
  • installation and removal of 112.3 temporary modular bridge over Highway 11
