Ontario’s first cable-stayed bridge, a two-span, four lane, centre pier structure, 252m in total length across the Nipigon River gorge; three-tower centre pier of 51m above the bridge deck, built sequentially from the centre pier outwards to the east and west abutments by mean of balanced cantilever technology; four lane expansion of Hwy 11/17 over 4.9 km east of the Town of Nipigon.

Works involve 1,968,000m3 of rock excavation and embankment, 660,000m3 of earth/muskeg excavation, construction of new bridge structures over the Murdock River, a major interchange at Crooked Lake Road and culverts for wildlife passage under new Hwy 69.
